Let our guides tell you about the history of this land and the Nishnaabeg peoples who have lived here since the glaciers retreated.
Learn essential survival skills from our experts and gain confidence in the great outdoors. Learn how to navigate in the wilderness and make a fire with the bare essentials and learn how to make a shelter and hunt for food. Learn some basic wilderness foods and medicines used by Nishnaabeg people for thousands of tears.
a. We will recruit employees mainly from Biigtigong who are experienced and have the necessary wilderness skills but if we cannot fill the positions then we look first nearby First Nations then to the general public.
b. Criteria for selection:
1- Must be physically fit.
2- Must have wilderness skills.
3- Must remain cool under pressure
4- Must be hard working and have the ability to live in the wilderness for long periods.
c. We will retain our employees by empowering them to make their own decisions. We will also put in place a profit sharing scheme based on the number of days each employee was working. We will motivate them by having them make decisions and profit sharing.
d. We will maintain a high quality workforce by ensuring that training is ongoing and up to date. We will also put in place a mentorship program so that younger guides can be mentored by experienced guides.
a. Lex's Wilderness Adventures has a high social responsibility standard. First of all we intend to hire locally and train our employees to the highest standards to keep and our clients safe.

3- Profit sharing regime with employees based on days worked. The more total time put in the higher the profit share.
4 - Donate to local food banks and charitable organizations.

b. At LWA our ethical viewpoint is that if you treat others and the environment well you will yourself be treated well. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect and to be treated fairly.
c. Code of conduct for employees is that they must treat all fellow employees with respect. This pertains as well to all clients. Employees must remain polite to all customers. It is expected that customers as well should be calm and ask questions in a polite respectful manner.
